The mission of CRAVE is to encompass the elements of taste, balance, presentation and service. Through this we are able to present you with an unparalleled food and wine experience. We serve parties as intimate as two, as large as twenty-four and offer two distinct in home services. CRAVE specializes in providing a full service restaurant experience in the comfort of your own home. We will create a tantalizing multi course tasting menu and specifically pair a wine to each course. We will bring all of our own fine china, crystal, flatware, cooking utensils, and can even arrange for custom linen and floral centerpieces to fit your dining room! You need only to clear your countertops, and leave the rest to us. Prices for tasting menus start at $175 per person and include wine. CRAVE can also provide you with an in home cooking demonstration. We will create your menu, provide printed recipes, and demonstrate each course. At the conclusion of the demonstration, you and your guests will dine with the evening's creations. Prices start at $75 per person plus the cost of food. Growing up in San Antonio, TX, Rich Hinojosa developed an affinity for food at a very young age. After his eighteenth birthday, Hinojosa took his first restaurant job and never looked back. He would spend the next five years in Texas learning how to operate a dining room. As restlessness began to set in, so would the desire to create. Hinojosa began to realize that his true passion would be in the kitchen. In 1996, acceptance into the Scottsdale Culinary Institute promptly moved Hinojosa to the valley of the sun. As a honors graduate from SCI, Hinojosa moved to Coronado, California to begin his culinary career under Executive Chef James Boyce at Azzura Point. Opting to stay with Chef Boyce, Hinojosa would accept a Chef de Partie position at The Phoenician's Mary Elaine's, and move back to Arizona. Over a three-year span, Hinojosa would become a Sous Chef at Mary Elaine's as well as the Chef of The Praying Monk. During that same period Mary Elaine's would join a very short list of dining rooms to earn five stars from Mobil, five diamonds from AAA, as well as a grand award from The Wine Spectator. In 2002, Chef Hinojosa would leave The Phoenician to become the Chef and cellar master for one of Arizona's elite couples. For the next three years, Chef Hinojosa would take care of their dining and entertaining needs in Paradise Valley, Aspen, and Cabo San Lucas. In April of 2005, Chef Rich Hinojosa created CRAVE! Since then, Arizona's most exciting dining won't be found in any restaurant or hotel. It can only be experienced in your dining room! |
